Construction of concrete surface

The contractor shall clear and prepare the existing ground area along the long side of the house, currently consisting of soil and rough grass, for the installation of a reinforced concrete apron. The work area is approximately 12 metres in length and 600 mm in width adjacent to the exterior wall of the house. Works shall include removal of all vegetation, topsoil, roots, and unsuitable material, followed by installation and compaction of a suitable granular sub-base. Reinforcement mesh shall be installed within the concrete slab to minimise cracking and improve durability. The concrete apron shall be constructed with a continuous fall away from the building to ensure effective surface water drainage and prevent water ingress towards the house foundation. The finished surface shall be smooth, durable, and neatly integrated with the surrounding ground levels.
